FASCIA INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

SUPPORT SPACINGS

The metal fascia should be supported on rafter clips at 1200mm (maximum centres). Do not use the fascia as an end span support.

Use at least two fixings (Hex Head screws; self drilling screw for steel, or Type 17 for timber) into the pre-punched holes & slots to secure to the rafter. If slots are used then further fixings may be recommended.

STEP 1

Fix a rafter clip at each end of the section, then run a string line from end to end. Attach one or two rafter brackets at mid region of the run, make sure these middle brackets are perfectly in line with the end ones.

STEP 2

Attached the fascia horizontally under each end clip, then flip the fascia forward and lever it over the top of the bracket into the vertical position.

STEP 3

Alter the fascia to the correct position by sliding it along the brackets, then secure the surplus of the intermediate brackets by twisting into fascia first, and then connecting to the rafters. (Notching, holing or distortion of the metal fascia is not recommended.)

STEP 4

When done correctly the fascia should be level around the hole house. Connect all corners and mitres, then the spring clips should be installed to create the fall for the gutter
