Every sheet is genuine BlueScope steel, COLORBOND® or ZINCALUME®, cut to the lengths you enter rather than sold in stock sizes. That means fewer joins, less offcut waste and a roof that goes on faster. Corrugated iron, TRIMDEK® and KLIP-LOK® 700 all ship from the same order as the flashings, gutter, fascia, downpipes, insulation and screws, so the whole roof arrives together.
Which profile: pitch, span and appearance
The right profile comes down to your roof pitch, how far the sheet has to span, and whether you want fixings visible.
Corrugated iron
The classic wavy profile, 762mm cover, minimum pitch 5°. The default for Australian homes, sheds, garages, carports and renovations, and the one most people mean when they say roofing iron. COLORBOND® corrugated custom orb, cut to length, also works as wall cladding where a traditional steel finish suits.
TRIMDEK®
Five-rib square profile, 762mm cover, 29mm rib, minimum pitch 2° (1 in 30). It spans further than corrugated and runs flatter, which is why it goes on skillion roofs, patios, extensions, sheds and commercial jobs. See TRIMDEK® in COLORBOND®.
KLIP-LOK® 700
Concealed fixing, so no screws pass through the sheet face. Minimum pitch 1°. Chosen where the roofline is on show and on low-pitch modern designs. Also available in ZINCALUME® KLIP-LOK® 700 Hi-Strength.
Still unsure? Corrugated .42 BMT is the safe default for a standard residential roof. Drop to TRIMDEK® or KLIP-LOK® when the pitch is too low for corrugated.
Colours and finishes
COLORBOND® roof sheets come in the full colour range, including Woodland Grey®, Monument® and Surfmist®, and the same colours run through the fascia, gutter and downpipes so the roofline matches. Light colours reflect more heat than dark ones, which is worth weighing in warmer parts of the country alongside how the house looks.
For a metallic finish without paint, ZINCALUME® is available in corrugated and TRIMDEK® at a lower price per metre. Both finishes suit roofing and wall cladding.
Cut to length: how ordering works
Sheets are cut from 1 metre to 10 metres in the length you enter. Measure from the ridge down to the outside edge of the gutter along the slope of the roof, not across the ground, and add your gutter overhang. Runs longer than 10 metres are done in two sheets with an end lap, and the lap comes from the roof pitch, so set that out before ordering.
Choose the profile and finish, enter each length and quantity, pick your colour, and check out. Add flashings, ridge capping, screws, gutter and insulation to the same cart.
What roofing iron costs
Price is per lineal metre and depends on the profile, the base metal thickness (.42 or .48 BMT) and your state. Victorian pricing starts at:

All prices include GST. Select your state for local pricing. A roof also needs flashings, ridge capping and screws, and usually gutter, so budget beyond the sheet figure. The installed price is your roofer's quote: labour, removal of the old roof, battens and access are the larger part.

Sheets are cut to order and dispatched within 3 to 6 business days, delivered to site across Victoria, New South Wales, the ACT, Queensland and Tasmania, metro and regional. Long goods carry a state-based delivery fee shown at checkout; small items post Australia-wide. Enter your postcode on any product page for the freight cost before you check out.
Order the whole roof in one delivery
Rather than chasing parts from three suppliers, order the sheets with everything that finishes them: flashings and ridge capping, guttering, fascia, downpipes, insulation and colour-matched screws. Everything is compatible and arrives together, which is usually what stops a roof job stalling halfway.

What is roofing iron?
An Australian term for steel roof sheets. Nothing sold today is actually iron: it is COLORBOND® or ZINCALUME® steel, which is lighter, stronger and lasts far longer than the old material the name came from.
Is a tin roof the same as roofing iron?
Yes, in everyday use. Tin roof, roofing iron, corrugated iron and metal roofing all describe the same thing on an Australian house, and none of them is tin. What you are buying is steel roof sheeting, most often corrugated COLORBOND®.
What profiles do you sell?
Corrugated, TRIMDEK® and KLIP-LOK® 700 as the main three, plus Spandek, Mini Orb, Matt COLORBOND®, double-sided corrugated and standing seam. All cut to length.
Can I buy cut to length roof sheets?
Yes. Every sheet is cut to order from 1m to 10m, so you order the run your roof needs instead of trimming stock sheets on site.
What is the difference between .42 and .48 BMT?
BMT is the steel thickness before coatings. .42 is the residential standard and right for most homes, sheds and carports. .48 is heavier duty for longer spans, higher wind regions and commercial roofs.
Can I match the roof to gutters, fascia and downpipes?
Yes. The COLORBOND® colour range runs across roof sheets, gutter, fascia and downpipes, so a Woodland Grey® or Monument® roof can carry through the whole roofline.
