Sisalation® Foam Cell Insulation for Metal Roofs and Walls
Sisalation® Foam Cell is a reflective insulation and sarking product used in Australian roof and wall applications. It is designed to help reduce radiant heat transfer, improve thermal performance and provide a thermal break in steel-framed construction.
This Sisalation® Foam Cell LT roll is suitable for metal roofing projects, wall installations, sheds, garages, residential buildings and selected commercial applications. It is commonly used as roof sisalation, wall sarking, reflective roof insulation and foam cell insulation where a durable extra heavy duty material is required.
What Is Sisalation® Foam Cell?
Sisalation® Foam Cell is made with a foam core laminated between reflective foil layers. One face includes an anti-glare coating to make installation easier on site. The reflective surface helps manage radiant heat, while the foam core assists with thermal break performance.
Unlike basic sisalation paper or standard foil sarking, Foam Cell includes an 8.4mm foam layer for added separation and durability. This makes it a popular choice for metal roof insulation and steel frame building applications.

Sisalation® Foam Cell LT has an R0.2 thermal resistance rating and is suitable for use as a thermal break in steel-framed construction in accordance with NCC requirements. This makes it a practical choice for builders, roofers and owner-builders working with steel framing and metal roof systems.
Thermal break insulation is especially important where metal framing could otherwise transfer heat through the building envelope. Foam cell insulation provides separation while also acting as reflective insulation and sarking.
Sarking, Vapour Control and Water Barrier Performance
This product works as more than just foil insulation. Sisalation® Foam Cell provides vapour control, water barrier performance and reflective thermal benefits in one roll. It is classified as a Class 2 vapour barrier and is designed for use in demanding Australian building applications.
BAL Suitability
Sisalation® Foam Cell is suitable for use in roofs with a Bushfire Attack Level of BAL Low to BAL 40. It is also suitable for use in walls with a Bushfire Attack Level of BAL Low to BAL FZ, when used in accordance with AS 3959-2009 and the relevant construction requirements.

Sisalation® Foam Cell and Sisalation® Bubble Cell reflective insulation products are manufactured in Australia by Fletcher Insulation Pty Limited. The product contains no ozone-depleting substances and has low VOC emissions, helping support indoor air quality and environmentally responsible building choices.
Important Installation Note
Sisalation® Foam Cell contains aluminium foil and is electrically conductive. Do not allow the foil surface to come into contact with electrical wiring, fittings or uninsulated electrical components. Installation should be carried out safely and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, NCC requirements and relevant Australian Standards.
