What does a valley do?
Where two roof planes meet at an internal angle, the valley is the channel underneath the sheet or tile edges that collects run-off from both sides and carries it to the gutter. It takes more water than any other part of the roof, so it's the one flashing you don't skimp on.
Which roofs does it suit?

What size is it, and can I change it?
Standard size is 10mm x 180mm x 180mm x 10mm, folded from 0.42mm BMT G300 steel. G300 is the softer grade used for valleys so it forms cleanly without cracking at the folds; the 10mm hems stiffen the edges and give the rivets something to bite. Cut to length from 1.0m to 7.5m. Length tolerance is +200mm / 0mm. For a wider valley on larger roofs, see COLORBOND® Valley 250mm. How is it fixed?
Rivets and silicone, not screws through the channel. Lap each length 150mm over the one below, seal the lap, and rivet at the edges only. You'll need colour-matched pop rivets, roof and gutter silicone and tin snips.
