Sisalation Roofing Foil - Reflect Radiant Heat and Prevent Condensation

This foil is installed under metal roofs; it reflects radiant heat and provides a barrier to prevent condensation on the underside of the roof sheet on your home or building. Our foil/roof sarking is strong and easy to install, using foil fasteners or double-sided tape.

What are the measurements of the sisalation foil?

The roll length is 60 metres, and the cover is 72 square metres. The width of the sisalation roll is 1.35 metres.

When installing the sisaltion foil, the blue side is installed facing the sky; the foil side is placed down. Manufactured in Australia, Sisalation Roofing Foil is an anti-glare reflective foil laminate recommended for use in the sarking of metal roofs.

Sisalation Roofing Foil: Elevate Your Roof's Performance

Sisalation roofing foil is a revolutionary solution designed for the discerning homeowner seeking superior performance for their metal roof. Comprising outer layers of aluminium foil bonded to a robust weave and coated with a heavy flame-retardant adhesive, Sisalation offers a range of benefits that contribute to the overall comfort and longevity of your residential and commercial building.

Key Features:

Reflective Heat Barrier:

Installed under metal roofs, Sisalation effectively reflects radiant heat, ensuring the skin of your home and living space remains cool and comfortable.

Condensation Prevention:

Acting as a barrier, Sisalation prevents condensation on the underside of the roof sheet, maintaining a dry and even top adjacent to an air- -cavity and well-protected interior.

Flame Retardant:

Sisalation is flame retardant, making it a safe choice for buildings in bushfire-prone areas.

Moisture and Vapour Barrier:

Offering an effective sealed barrier protects the value of a building against moisture, vapours, wind, and dust penetration. Sisalation safeguards your home against the elements.

Thermal Insulation:

When used in conjunction with airspace, Sisalation becomes an effective thermal insulation material, thanks to its aluminium foil surfaces' high reflectivity and low emissivity.

Compliance and Installation:

Complies with AS/NZS4859.1 standards.

Follow AS/NZS4200.2:1994 installation requirements for "Pliable Building Membranes."

Install external cladding promptly for optimal results.

Maintain a 40mm - 75mm sag or drape between rafters or battens to create a vapour barrier.

Total R-Value Considerations:

Achieving the stated total R-Values requires a minimum airspace of 40mm adjacent to each reflective foil face. Note that environmental conditions, including the amount of rain and dust effects, may influence the product's contribution to the Total R-value.

Metal Roof Applications: Enhance Your Metal Roof's Performance with Sisalation Roofing Foil

Sisalation roofing foil consists of outer layers of aluminium foil bonded to weave and with a heavy coating of flame retardant adhesive. It is installed under metal roofs, reflecting radiant heat, and providing a barrier to prevent condensation on the underside of protects the building frame and roof sheet. Aluminium reflective foil insulation is also referred to as "roof sarking." Flame retardant Sisalation is suitable for use in buildings in bushfire-prone areas. Provides an effective barrier against moisture, vapours, wind, heat, increased comfort to building occupants, and dust penetration when overlapped.

When used in conjunction with airspace, Sisalation is also acts as an effective thermal insulation material because of which contributes to the overall high reflectivity and low emissivity of its aluminium foil surfaces. Complies with the requirements of AS/NZS4859.1. The contribution of this product to the Total R-value depends on the installation and environmental conditions, which include the effect of dust.

Installation:

Sisalation should be installed in accordance with AS/NZS4200.2:1994 for the installation requirements for "Pliable Building Membranes." External cladding should be installed without delay. Reflective foil in roofs must be installed with a sag or drape down of approximately 40mm - 75mm between the rafters or battens. This is to allow a vapour barrier to occur between the reflective foil and the metal roof sheeting. To achieve the stated total R-Values, a minimum air space of 40mm is required adjacent to each reflective foil face.
