Roofing Iron - Zincalume

ZINCALUME® Roofing Sheets

Corrugated  |  TRIMDEK®  |  KLIP-LOK® 700  |  Cut to your length, 1m to 10m

✔ Genuine BlueScope steel
✔ 0.42 or 0.48 BMT
✔ Priced per lineal metre inc GST

COLORBOND® steel gets the street front. ZINCALUME® steel gets the job done where colour isn't the priority: sheds, garages, farm buildings, industrial roofs and walling that need genuine BlueScope corrosion resistance at a lower price per metre. The natural silver finish is the aluminium-zinc coating itself, not paint, so there's nothing to chip or fade.

Every sheet is cut to your length between 1m and 10m, priced per lineal metre inc GST, and delivered in approximately 3 to 7 working days across VIC, NSW, QLD, ACT and TAS.

Which profile?

Corrugated is the classic wavy profile. Screw-fixed, suits roofs and walls, and the default choice for sheds, garages and anything traditional. Also available in galvanised for heritage matching.

TRIMDEK® is the modern square-rib profile. Screw-fixed with a wide flat pan, it sheds water efficiently on low roof pitches and gives a cleaner industrial look.

KLIP-LOK® 700 is concealed-fix: sheets clip onto hidden brackets so no screw penetrates the roof surface. Spec it for very low pitches and commercial work, and order the matching KLIP-LOK® 700 fixing clips in the same cart. The range also includes Spandek, Mini Orb and Multiclad wall sheets

0.42 or 0.48 BMT?

BMT is base metal thickness, the steel under the coating. 0.42 BMT is the residential standard for houses, sheds and garages. 0.48 BMT is the heavier commercial gauge: spec it where purlin spacings are wider, foot traffic is expected, or the engineer's drawings call for it. If your plans state a BMT, order that. If you're replacing existing sheets, match what's there.

ZINCALUME® or COLORBOND®?

Same BlueScope steel base, same profiles, one difference: COLORBOND® steel adds a bonded paint finish in a full colour range, ZINCALUME® steel stays bare metal. If the roof faces the street or council requires a specific colour, go COLORBOND® roofing. If it's a shed, a rural build, or budget rules, ZINCALUME® steel does the same structural job for less per metre.

Common questions

Will ZINCALUME® steel rust?

The aluminium-zinc coating resists corrosion well beyond old galvanised steel and carries a BlueScope warranty. Avoid contact with lead, copper and treated pine runoff, and check coastal exposure ratings if you're within about a kilometre of surf.

Can I use it for walls as well as roofing?

Yes. Corrugated, Mini Orb and Multiclad are all used as wall cladding, cut to length the same way as roof sheets.

How do I order the right length?

Measure ridge to gutter, add the overhang you want into the gutter (roughly 50mm), and enter that length on the product page. Each sheet arrives cut to your measurement, so there's no cutting on site and no offcut waste.
